Why Your Support Matters
LSU Health Shreveport educates and trains the next generation of healthcare professionals and scientists who will continue our proud legacy of innovative and lifesaving healthcare and cutting-edge medical research. As one of only 171 academic medical centers in North America, LSUHS is a steadfast institution in North Louisiana.
Healthcare remains a key sector that drives the economy in north Louisiana. LSUHS has a direct economic impact of $600 million in the Shreveport region. Combined with the economic impact ($2.4 Billion) of our practicing alumni, LSUHS has a total economic impact of over $3 billion on North Louisiana. In addition, 65% of our community's physicians and allied health professionals received a portion or all of their training at LSUHS. By supporting scholarships and student initiatives at the School of Medicine, School of Allied Health Professions, and School of Graduate Studies, you can open doors and create opportunities for our future healthcare leaders and scientists.
This LSU Giving Day, your gift will strengthen the winning teams that drive LSU Health Shreveport forward. Thank you for your support!
