Your generosity on LSU Giving Day impacts the following priority initiatives:

1. First Generation Support Fund

Six of every 10 LSU Shreveport students are the first in their family to attend college. First-generation students face unique challenges in their road to a college degree. This fund helps pay for first generation success programs like tutoring and peer-to-peer mentoring. YOUR gift to this fund also helps cover nontuition costs like student meal plans.

2. LSU Shreveport's Student Emergency Fund

Nine of every 10 LSU Shreveport students face income challenges, and some even work multiple jobs to afford classes. We want to ensure that a one-time unexpected expense like a car repair or utility bill doesn’t derail their plans.

3. Milestone Celebrations

This fund helps LSU Shreveport commemorate key developments, from this year’s 50th anniversary homecoming our first LSUS graduating class to nationally ranked, award-winning academic and athletic teams. With YOUR help, we’ll fulfill multiple campus needs as LSUS continues to grow!
