Housed at the center of one our country’s great public land-, sea-, and space-grant universities, the Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College is based on a culture of excellence, inquiry, and creativity that develops tomorrow’s leaders for our state, nation, and the world.

For more than 50 years, we have helped our students make the most of their undergraduate experience. Here, we offer an established curriculum, the opportunity for research, and faculty mentorship. Our small, seminar-based courses give students a more dynamic and personal academic experience — one that defines them as scholars and individuals beyond their time at LSU. We also understand that excellence transcends the classroom, so we champion holistic learning, cultural awareness, and community engagement. Our campus within a campus becomes their home away from home. As part of our community of scholars, they will develop meaningful, lifelong friendships. Most importantly, we want them to take their education personally. Their interests, hopes, and aspirations drive their time here. They won’t have to choose between serving their community and studying abroad, between tackling independent research or building their future career. Here, they have the freedom to explore.

To realize our mission, we seek visionary partners attuned to the evolving needs of society. Your investment in the Ogden Honors College will guide our course as we strive to match the most promising students with the most accomplished faculty, present an ambitious curriculum rich with opportunity, and develop collaborative learning spaces in which to pursue frontline research that spans traditional disciplinary boundaries. Together, we will deliver a generation of courageous leaders fiercely committed to positive transformation in Louisiana and beyond.
